Referred to as Blue by those who maintain him, Catoosa’s most famous whale is a must-see on Route 66 in Oklahoma. Situated on the shore of a pond, the wooden structure has a water slide and a pair of ladders so visitors can climb up and view the vista from the whale’s head or tail.

Imagine my surprise when I hear a voice saying, “Hello. How are you doing?” Well, after pretty much jumping out of my skin in shock, I took a look at my greeter: an old hobo complete with the tattered jacket, hole-filled gloves, socks coming out of the shoes and a smell to match.
