Bonnie’s Treasures: A Mother’s Day Tribute

My mother is one of the most wonderful and unique people around, and over the years she has collected a large variety of treasures that she proudly displays on her walls and shelves. (hover over an image for the description)

For Mother’s Day, 2011, I took my dslr and 50mm lens around her apartment to capture just some of her treasures. Everything was photographed exactly as I found it and nothing was moved or set up for this series.

My mom, Bonnie, is a great painter, photographer and jack of all artistic trades. She comes from a long line of artists and has done a beautiful job of continuing the family tradition.

Nothing can describe my happiness seeing the huge smile on my mom’s face when I gave her a bound book with photographic c-prints of the images on this page for Mother’s Day.
