While driving through Petaluma on my way back from The Sea Ranch, I stumbled across this green and tranquil scene in the mountains. Located in between California’s Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1) and the 101 Freeway near San Francisco, Petaluma is a small and tranquil town surrounded by nature.
Rolling hills and hidden humanity in Northern California in the fall
While this photo wasn’t taken right in the town of Petaluma, it was pretty close. Personally, I love how the wooden shacks and cabins are hidden amongst the trees and the road and bridge in the distance seem to peacefully coexist with the nature.
