Neon, Fuel, Pavement and Americana on Route 66, chronicles the people, places, gas stations, kitschy roadside attractions and feeling of having stepped into a time machine that made it the most memorable road trip of my life.

Referred to as Blue by those who maintain him, Catoosa’s most famous whale is a must-see on Route 66 in Oklahoma. Situated on the shore of a pond, the wooden structure has a water slide and a pair of ladders so visitors can climb up and view the vista from the whale’s head or tail.
