India has a lot of different states, all of which have very different characteristics. However, unlike in the USA, each state is often massive. For instance, we spent most of the first few weeks of our trip in Rajasthan, which is in the Northeast of the country. Everything from my last entry took place there, and this one will cover the rest of our time in, perhaps, India’s most popular state.
Since I last wrote we have hit visited the most beautiful fort we have seen to date in Jodphur, trekked through the desert on camel back and spent time in the Arabian-esque town of Jaisalmer, visited my friend Avani in Jaipur and went looking for tigers on a jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park, where we saw no tigers but lots of cool antelopes, deer and birds. So, on with the fun…which actually took place from January 1 – 11, 2009.
