The Indian Adventure Continues

A baba in Hampi

A baba in Hampi

As Carrie and I hit the two month mark in two days, our time in India is coming to an end. We still have plans to volunteer for a couple of weeks doing reforestation, check out a supposedly untouched set of islands to do some scuba diving and, depending on the situation, visit Sri Lanka. Then it’s off to Thailand.

But what is this entry about? Well, it covers our spending 8 days with the hippie community in Hampi while Carrie drank charcoal to recover from Delhi Belly, more ridiculous transportation stories, backwater tours in Cochin and a ton of new observations about our experiences. This entry covers February 3 – 15.

Lastly, I wanted to share a quote that my mom found from Obama’s new National Security Adviser who spent his childhood in France. “I encourage young people to go and and see other countries and cultures. Anyone who has the opportunity and doesn’t seize it is really missing out on one of the most important components of how to be successful in today’s shrinking world.”

There are also a bunch of videos, but since YouTube is of course down I will have to send them out later.
