Regardless of where I’m heading in San Francisco, I always try and find a way to take the historic F line streetcar. A lover of the rails since my father and I first set up a Lionel train in my childhood bedroom, I think these rolling museums may be my favorite part of the city. Boarding one makes me feel as if I stepped through a portal to a simpler and more innocent time when trolleys ruled the road and people dressed up just to go out and check the mail.
