A Buddhist Temple in Vientiane, Laos

I love Vientiane. It’s the capital of Laos and yet it feels like a small town. Even during rush hour, the city’s wide avenues are only half full and you can bike from one end to the other in a single afternoon.

While that bike ride takes you past countless Buddha statues, one of the most impressive is atop the Phat Tich Temple. Located on the ancient Thanon Nongbone, the Phat Tich Temple was designed to look like a pagoda specifically for Vientiane’s large Vietnamese population.
